December 2009
The
Last Gasp!
Well, for most of us the
season is now over. Due to a new law musky fishing
is open in the month of December in
Wisconsin SOUTH of HWY 10. Plus
you can also travel south of our state to
Illinois/Iowa where the season is
open year-round. I’m still hoping for a few
more trips while the snow is
flying. Due to time constraints, this will be
my last newsletter as I am
stepping down from this position to concentrate
on other areas of my life. I
had a lot of fun doing this, and hope you
enjoyed reading my stories, and our
club info each month. Have a safe, and happy holiday season everyone!
Banquet
Info
The banquet committee is
no holding meetings to prepare for this years
banquet. Kevin Rortvedt
is heading up the committee this year. Donations
can be accepted at anytime now. With the
economic downturn getting
donations is going to be harder than ever this
year. Please ask anyone you
know, for any type of donation.
December
Meeting 1 Week Early!
December is our annunal holiday meal and elections. All positions are open
within the club this year, to all members.
Dinner will cost $5 per person, and
please bring a dish to pass.
Club
Information
Our club has joined the
Wisconsin Federation of Great Lakes Sportsfishing.
This is a very large
group, who lobbies for all species of fish on the Great
Lakes. Chuck Strysick
is going to be our chapter representative for this.
Chuck Strysick
has been nominated by our chapter for the SCCA Youth
Educator
of the Year. Roy
Kalmerton is putting together the nomination
papers for this if you have anything to add.
That’s all the news we
have to print this month. If you have any news, or
information regarding club issues you want printed
please feel free to
contact me. You can reach me by e-mail, muskydawg@yahoo.com
or
telephone 920-457-1779.
Until next month… Matt Abraham aka Musky Dawg
